The Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) is a global network of over 300 film commissions. It is a non-profit association whose network of members - on all continents - serves as city, county, state, regional, provincial, or national film commissioners for their respective governmental jurisdictions.
AFCI organizes several events for the film industry:
AFCI Locations & Global Finance Show, held each April at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, is the premier trade show and conference event for the international production industry. The show brings together industry veterans, independent filmmakers, and media professionals; while showcasing an unbeatable display of global financing opportunities, locations, and business and support services from AFCI members from all continents.
CINEPOSIUM in conjunction with AFCI University, is the AFCI's primary education event, targeted at film commissioners worldwide. Held annually, this program features professional development seminars designed to teach film commissioners about the management and processes unique to the film commission business.
Western Norway Film Commission has been a member of AFCI since 2003.
EUFCN is a non-profit association which supports and promotes the European film industry and culture. Its main goals are to create a network of the most active European Film Commissions; to promote the exchange of information between members; and to carry out professional and educational activities.
Western Norway Film Commission has been a member of EUFCN since 2007.
Location Managers Guild of America
The Location Managers Guild of America is an organisation of experienced career professionals in the motion picture, television, commercial and print production industries, dedicated to the establishment of professional standards of personal conduct and business ethics. LMGA supports the formation of strong links with business members, governmental agencies and local communities. The Guild promotes awareness of the goals and achievements of the membership to the general public and within the industry through creative, educational, and philanthropic programs.
